SUSTAINABLE CONSTRUCTION IN CORNWALL & DEVON
MANAGEMENT
ADD SC has a management structure that provides a professional service from start to finish. Our in house dedicated Project Management is undertaken by Director Nathan Davis and James White who provide our clients with a personal and friendly service. They ensure your project runs to programme and take care of cost control.
During the site phases projects are allocated to Director Matt Davis, who is a dedicated and qualified SMSTS (CITB) Site Manager. Matt has previously won awards for his Site Management skills and attention to detail. He will ensure that your project runs smoothly and on time. Being very approachable, and personable, he ensures that neighbours are kept informed of progress and minimises disruption.
Our management structure ensures that we take care of everything leaving you to enjoy the construction process.
PROCUREMENT
ADD Sustainable Construction is able to offer a complete Design and Build service from initial feasibility through to completion of the building. Our sister company ARCO2 is a Chartered Architects Practice who can provide the full design package taking care of your brief, feasibility, design concept, planning maze, complying with the building regulation standards, detailed construction drawings and specifications. Many of ARCO2’s staff has construction experience working on sites and self builds. This invaluable experience aids the transition between design and construction phases.
We work regularly with a number of trusted local consultants and have an in depth understanding of their requirements which can take away the stress leaving you more time to enjoy the process.
ON SITE BESPOKE
ADD Sustainable Construction is experienced at adapting to site constraints that can often dictate the most suitable method of construction. Our one-off bespoke buildings are often built on-site using different building techniques, such as timber frame, masonry, retaining walls, suspended floors, concrete floors and off site panel production.
OFFSITE CONSTRUCTION
Many of our projects feature elements of the building that are constructed in our dedicated secure workshop. This includes full timber frame packages, studwork and pre-insulated floor, wall and roof cassettes which can speed up the construction process. We are able to offer a complete pre-fabricated structurally insulated building system following 10 years of pioneering prior to ADD Sustainable Constructions formation in June 2016. Our carpenters also construct specialist items such as stairs, shelving and book cases within the workshop.
Our workshop is heated via timber off-cuts taken from on-site and off-site. This reduces waste and provides a comfortable and happy environment for our workshop team.
PRINCIPLE DESIGNER
ADD Sustainable Construction are fortunate to have our own qualified Principal Designer who manages and coordinates the Health and Safety aspects of the pre-construction and post construction phases ensuring that they comply with the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015 (CDM 2015). The Principal Designer has an important role to influence how Health and Safety risks are managed. At the end of the project you will receive a full set of instructions regarding construction, maintenance & operation.
COMPLETION
ADD Sustainable Construction provide an option for follow up scheduled maintenance and servicing, as well as reactive maintenance and repair facilities. This can provide peace of mind and allows our specialist teams to carry out checks and works to your completed building.
Buildings can be offered with full 10 year structural warranties or Professional Consultant’s Certificates suitable for mortgage lenders.
